Class Trips & Excursions

Rather than merely perceiving school as a learning environment, we aspire for our students to establish a link between classroom teaching and the ‘real’ world.

For this reason, excursions are a recurring component of our work. We go on regular trips and explore the area around us. We take our older students on visits to parks, museums and theatres. Trips to parents’ workplaces also provide an opportunity for students to gain new insights.

From Year 3 onwards, students take part in class trips within Germany to help them develop a strong sense of community and expand their social skills. The school community supports children whose parents cannot afford all or some of the costs of these trips. The individual year groups generate money for this purpose by staging fund raising events such as theatre performances, bake sales or concerts.
