Britta Borchert
Head of Primary School

Britta Borchert grew up in Germany and Canada. She studied German, History, English and education at Queen's University and Lakehead University in Ontario as well as at Philipps University in Marburg an der Lahn. After working in adult education for several years, she moved to Berlin in 2008 to teach as a class and subject teacher at Phorms Primary School in Berlin Mitte. In 2011 she took over the position of Deputy Head of Primary School and has been Head of the Primary School since the summer of 2020.

Olivia Shelton
Deputy Principal Primary School

Olivia has been a teacher and school leader for over 15 years, with experiences in her homeland Australia as well as Spain, Cambodia, the UAE, the US and, for a number of years, here in Berlin. Living in a bilingual household, she is excited to work within the Phorms concept and help our students develop the gift that is multilingualism. With a masters in Cognitive Psychology and a specialism in Positive Psychology, Olivia considers learning a process that occurs with both the head and the heart.

Anna Kirchberg
Primary Coordinator 

Anna is an experienced primary school teacher with a focus on bilingual teaching and learning. She graduated from the Freiburg University of Education and joined Phorms in 2017. Since then, Anna has developed from class and subject teacher to subject coordinator and digital expert. Her heart beats for a contemporary learning environment in which students are individually supported according to their strengths and abilities. Anna sees education as a shared journey between teachers and learners. As a primary school coordinator, she has been implementing her vision of an inspiring place to learn since 2023. Her strong commitment to a holistic school is reflected, among other things, in further training in the subject "Happiness" (an actual school subject in some parts of Germany) and "Systemic Coaching".

Anja Preuß
Extracurricular Coordinator

While working as a dance teacher and dancer, Anja Preuß completed her studies in Childhood Education at the Catholic University of Applied Social Sciences Berlin. She graduated with a Master's degree in Social Work, specializing in Education and Counselling. As a state-certified childhood educator, she has been working for Phorms since 2014 and is also qualified as an integration specialist and child protection officer.


Petra Magosch
Deputy Extracurricular Coordinator

Petra Magosch is originally from Bavaria, where she trained as an educator and studied Social Work. After working in leadership in Munich for many years and completing her Master’s degree in Neurolinguistic Programming, she moved to Berlin in 2011 and became our Primary School’s Extracurricular Coordinator. Since her return from parental leave in 2015, she has been working as the Deputy Extracurricular Coordinator.


Dorothee Zieseler

Dorothee Zieseler originally comes from the hotel industry and looked after teams and guests as a reception manager in Vienna, Chicago, Singapore and Berlin. 
Since 2014, she has been looking after the well-being of all students and staff, is the first point of contact for our parents, and the organizational talent around our Primary School.
