Private Bilingual Secondary School | Phorms Berlin Mitte
Our Campus: Three Institutions Under One Roof
The secondary school is part of the Phorms Campus Berlin Mitte. The premises are shared with the Phorms nursery and primary school. Here we offer a community in German and English for approximately 800 children and young people from ages 2 to 18. This allows all children to benefit from learning together with younger and older students.
At present, 22 teachers and 2 student teachers educate approximately 180 girls and boys in our secondary school.
Founded in 2006
Phorms Berlin gemeinnützige GmbH was founded in 2006 and is located in an attractive red-brick building in central Berlin. This is where we celebrated our 10th birthday in summer 2016. We are thus the oldest and largest of all Phorms schools.
Bilingualism is key to the Phorms concept. Our secondary school continues the bilingual concept introduced in nursery and primary school. Teaching takes place at native speaker level in German and English. Yet, our curriculum is based on the outline curriculum of the federal state of Berlin.
All our students sit their Intermediate Secondary School Certificate (MSA) at the end of Year 10. The Upper Secondary School Certificate (Abitur) is taken after Year 12.
Additionally to receiving those German certificates, students in upper secondary school may also enroll for the Cambridge Advanced English Certificate (CAE).
Income-Dependent Tuition Fees
We would like to enable children from families of different income brackets to have access to our educational resources. For this reason, we decided to introduce income-dependent tuition fees.
Our students' parents keep telling us what they appreciate most about Phorms: That their children like coming to school every day.
I hope you enjoy our website.
