Cooperations
and networks

Schools are more than just places of learning - they are integral parts of their communities. Strategic partnerships and networks foster meaningful exchanges within the region, while extracurricular projects add depth and variety to everyday school life.

Networks create space for new experiences

By connecting our school with the local community, we foster meaningful partnerships that enrich our students’ educational journey. These networks provide valuable insights and opportunities for students to actively engage in and contribute to social life.

Alba Berlin partnership

ALBA BERLIN has long been committed to promoting youth basketball, offering club teams, school sports programmes, and activities during weekends and holidays. Their mission is to inspire a love for sports among Berlin’s youth, fostering teamwork, social skills, and active lifestyles through the guidance of skilled coaches. Phorms Berlin Mitte partners with ALBA BERLIN to bring the “ALBA macht Schule” project to life on our Campus.

Highlights of the partnership:

  • Support for sports lessons led by ALBA coaches

  • Basketball study groups and school teams competing in ALBA leagues

  • Daycare sports programmes and club ball groups

  • School teams participating in Berlin Basketball Association matches

  • Engagement with the kinder+Sport Basketball Academy

  • Visits to Bundesliga games at the Mercedes-Benz Arena

This collaboration enriches sports education at Phorms, providing students with exciting opportunities to grow athletically and socially.

Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) award

The Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award is a globally recognised programme involving young people in over 130 countries. It fosters personal growth, encourages goal-setting, and helps participants overcome challenges.

This voluntary, non-competitive programme requires commitment and sustained effort of our students across four areas:

  • Volunteering

  • Fitness

  • Talents

  • Expeditions

Phorms students, who participate in this programme, dedicate one hour per activity per week for three months and independently plan a two-day expedition, developing skills, resilience, and teamwork along the way.
