Our school life
Lively and cooperative

Our vibrant primary school is home to 450 children, creating a dynamic bilingual community where German and English thrive side by side. Guided by our dedicated team of teachers and educators, students engage in a rich tapestry of learning experiences. They don't just study in classrooms; they explore, play, and discover the world around them, embracing both languages in every aspect of their educational journey.

Key focuses
of our teaching

Bilingualism

Children who learn bilingually reap lifelong benefits: They not only develop better language and foreign language skills but also enhance their creativity, language awareness, and cognitive flexibility.

At our school, teachers instruct equally in German and English, with a high level of sensitivity towards the child and using the immersion method, which enables holistic language learning. This allows children to be introduced to both languages in a playful and natural manner. By the end of primary school, students can confidently speak, discuss, and perform calculations in both German and English.

Individual Support

Every child is unique, and that’s why we prioritise your child's individual development. With two educational specialists per class, whole school, creative teaching methods, interdisciplinary projects, and a diverse afternoon programme, we provide a space where every talent can thrive.

We support your child when they need extra help, offering targeted assistance in small groups to help them learn at their own pace. At the same time, we challenge and inspire high-achieving children to reach their full potential across various subjects. Our goal is to create a school environment that nurtures, supports, and empowers every child.

Group and Project Work

We want your child to not only gain knowledge but also to enjoy independent learning and exploring the world. Our teachers make lessons engaging and hands-on—whether through group and project work or exciting excursions to places like museums, theatres, or workshops.

Your child will learn to approach topics creatively and from different perspectives, both individually and as part of a team. This approach strengthens understanding, curiosity, collaboration, and self-confidence, creating a learning experience that leaves a lasting impression.

A World of Opportunities

At our school, your child can explore and experience a wide range of opportunities. In the Theatre Hall, students create their own plays, while our child-friendly kitchen is perfect for baking and cooking adventures. From Year 5 onwards, children can get creative in woodworking. Through exciting elective subjects – ranging from football and reading to podcasting, social projects, and strategy games – your child has the chance every week to discover new interests and develop passions. This diverse array of activities allows each student to broaden their horizons and nurture their unique talents in a supportive environment.

Logical thinking

We encourage children to embrace scientific inquiry from the start, fostering hands-on exploration and discovery. By introducing young minds to scientific methods early on, we spark curiosity and cultivate critical thinking skills. Our students eagerly observe, measure, and analyze the world around them, using their creativity to tackle intriguing real-world questions. Through these engaging experiences, science becomes not just a subject, but a journey of discovery that fuels lifelong learning.

Media Education

Our classrooms feature modern, interactive whiteboards that facilitate creative learning and digital research. Starting from Year 5, each child uses their own tablet for writing, researching, calculating, and creating presentations.

While embracing technology, we also recognize the value of traditional media. Our carefully curated library welcomes students for weekly visits, encouraging exploration and discovery. Each week, students choose one book in German and another in English, nurturing a love for reading and inspiring new ideas.

Diverse Language Opportunities

Our multicultural primary school welcomes children from a wide variety of language backgrounds. For those who need extra support in German or English, we provide a tailored remedial programme. Our individual language lessons in German (DaZ) and English (ESL) are designed to match your child’s current skill level, helping them confidently reach their grade-level goals.

Our DaZ and ESL teachers collaborate closely with subject teachers, the support coordinator, and you as parents to ensure your child receives the best possible support.

Our after-school and holiday programmes provide your child with the freedom to explore their interests and enjoy an exciting, enriching time. Whether in the art studio, workshop games, reading and quiet room, building , movement rooms or outdoors on the playground, there’s a favourite spot for everyone.

A variety of activities also encourage children to try new things, discover their talents, and express themselves creatively in a supportive environment.

Our school uniform

We believe that a person’s worth is defined by who they are, not what they wear.

Our school clothing fosters a strong sense of community and contributes to a harmonious atmosphere. A school top is worn throughout the day, helping to downplay social differences and fashion trends.

With our modern Campus Collection, which can be freely mixed and matched, there's plenty of room for individuality and personal style.

Eating together

Healthy nutrition is important to us.

Our caterer ensures that your child can enjoy one delicious meal and a snack every day. Together with your child, you can choose what's on the plate at lunch until the afternoon of the day before. In Berlin, lunch is free of charge up to Year 6, and for a small parental contribution we also provide a varied salad and fruit buffet - so even the pickiest of eaters will find something tasty. A healthy snack is also available every day to ensure that your child is well looked after.

On our campus, your child will find a lovingly designed school library with a large selection of books and media in German and English - for all ages and tastes. The library is open daily and is an integral part of the timetable. Once a week, our primary school students are allowed to browse at their leisure and choose a German and an English book. This makes reading a fixed and enjoyable part of everyday school life.
